Integrating LLMs in Corpora-Related Courses: Annotation and Fine-Tuning

Abstract: This is a presentation given by Florian Kunneman (University of Utrecht) at the CLARIN in University Curricula Workshop, held in Utrecht on 21–22 April 2026. In both data science and language science curricula, LLMs have become a prominent means of analysing corpora. In this talk, I will highlight examples from my teaching where I incorporated LLMs into data annotation and fine-tuning assignments. The focus will be on the setup of these assignments and on practical issues that arise.
