The Baryonic Cosmological Constant and the Dark Sector

Type: preprint
Abstract: Visible Matter, Dark Matter and Dark Energy Modern cosmology presents a striking picture: ordinary visible matter forms only a small fraction of the universe, while the remainder is assigned to dark matter and dark energy. This paper proposes a closure-synthetic interpretation of that fact. Rather than treating visible matter, dark matter, and dark energy as three unrelated cosmic contents, we interpret them as different regimes of closure. Visible baryonic matter represents full atomic closure. Dark matter and dark energy represent two modes of the remaining partial-closure continuum: one localized and curvature-bearing, the other expansive and scale-coherent. The paper introduces the Baryonic Cosmological Constant, defined by the closure expression C_BC = (π − 3) / 3 ≈ 0.0472, and proposes that this value corresponds to the fraction of total cosmic closure that stabilizes as visible baryonic matter. WMAP and Planck-era cosmological reports place ordinary matter in the same neighborhood, roughly 4.6–4.9% of the cosmic budget. The central claim is not that numerical correspondence alone proves the theory, but that the constant provides a candidate closure-synthetic invariant linking dimensional closure, baryonic appearance, and the dark sector. Keywords: baryonic cosmological constant; dark sector; visible matter; dark matter; dark energy; closure synthesis; partial closure; UCCF; cosmological constants
