A speculative space-time wave representation of neutrino oscillations

Abstract: I propose a speculative effective model in which the neutrino is represented not as a point-like particle with an inserted mass spectrum, but as a weak quasi-standing space-time wave: a microscopic gravitational normal mode of a modified self-guided carrier geometry. In this picture, the observable neutrino oscillation structure arises from the internal spectral splitting of the space-time wave rather than from independently postulated rest masses. The model treats the oscillating object as a tensor perturbation of the carrier geometry, while the scalar quantity used in the spectral calculation is its detector-relevant space-density projection. The carrier geometry is interpreted as self-generated by the nonlinear gravitational stress of the same bound wave, in a beat/envelope mechanism reminiscent of geon-like self-guidance. A one-phase reduction of the tensor normal-mode dynamics leads to an effective spectral operator whose first two paired-level splittings reproduce the observed hierarchy of the two dominant neutrino oscillation scales. The same framework provides an effective chiral spinor embedding, an antineutrino orientation map, a geometric source for CP asymmetry through non-integer carrier-envelope closure, and a matter-resonance interpretation of the MSW effect. The construction remains an effective model rather than a completed first-principles theory: the self-guided gravitational closure, weak-detection projection, and absolute conversion scale require further derivation. Nevertheless, the framework offers a coherent route by which several characteristic features of neutrino phenomenology may emerge from a single space-time-wave mechanism.
