Year: 2026
Type: dissertation
Abstract: BACKGROUND.The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) faces persistent challenges in the availability, distribution, and management of its health workforce, impeding progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the Sustainable Development Goal target of 4.45 physicians, nurses, and midwives per 1,000 population. To address these constraints, the Human Resources for Health Information System (HRHIS) was digitalized by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to improve workforce planning, transparency, and governance. However, more than a decade after its introduction, its effectiveness and impact remained insufficiently assessed.
