Abstract: This best practice paper recommends a method of command advisement. UMT command advisement about the organization is often vague and not particularly useful to the command. By focusing upon a topic the command is interested in, by pursuing the topic to the point where sufficient and actionable information is learned by the UMT, and by presenting it in a manner that makes it likely to be both read and acted upon, the UMT best meets its task of command advisement. The article includes recommendations for methods of collection and presentation, as well as integration into the different domains of the Army.
