Theorem: Conditional Co-Recovery of Quantum Matter and Geometry from a Schur-Reduced Effective Fluctuation Operator

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: 2026/07/20 Aspect Assessment Status Schur reduction The effective operator Kₑff = A − B†Cₐdm⁻¹B follows correctly from quadratic elimination or Gaussian integration of the non-retained sector. [Derived] Coupled block architecture The decomposition into geometry, matter, and off-diagonal matter–geometry coupling blocks is mathematically coherent and physically relevant. [Derived under stated assumptions] Matter–geometry co-recovery The framework correctly identifies quantum gravity as a consistency problem of jointly recovered matter, geometry, and reciprocal coupling. [Conditional theorem] Defect hierarchy The defects Dₛ꜀ₕᵤᵣ, Dg, Dφ, D꜀ₒₘₚₐₜ, and Dₗᵢₘᵢₜ provide a useful audit architecture for recovery, conservation, causality, and limiting behavior. [Definition / Consistency architecture] Theorem content DᵉᶠᶠQG = 0 ⇒ a consistent effective matter–geometry sector is logically correct, but much of the implication follows from defects defined as the failure of the required conditions. [Conditional consistency theorem] Metric recovery The map Kₕₕᵉᶠᶠ → gμν is assumed rather than uniquely constructed from the underlying action. [Open construction] Quantum matter recovery The map Kφφᵉᶠᶠ → (Hₑff, Ψₑff, Aₑff) requires additional spectral, local, gauge, renormalization, and domain structure. [Conditional / Open] Gauge and constraint control The inverse Cₐdm⁻¹ is meaningful only after gauge zero modes, constraints, operator domains, and admissible subspaces are explicitly controlled. [Open] Quadratic scope The closure applies to S⁽²⁾ and does not automatically control nonlinear terms S⁽³⁾, S⁽⁴⁾, … or the full interacting quantum theory. [Quadratic effective closure] Recovery limits QFT, semiclassical gravity, GR, SRT, and Newtonian gravity are correctly formulated as required limits, but their recovery must still be demonstrated for a concrete underlying model. [Conditional recovery] Physical coefficients The values of G, c, ℏ, Λ, masses, charges, and couplings are not derived by the effective theorem. [Open] LHFT interpretation The chain S₁ᴸᵛᵃˡ → S₁ᴸ⁽²⁾ → Kₛₜᵣᵤ꜀ₜ → KₑffᴳΨ provides a coherent LHFT interpretation, but its microscopic execution remains incomplete. [Framework interpretation / Open derivation] Overall judgment The contribution is scientifically valuable as a rigorous architecture for Schur-reduced effective matter–geometry consistency, but it is not yet a completed microscopic theory of quantum gravity. [Effective strong / Microscopic open] The key move is to define quantum gravity not as quantizing a pre-given metric, but as the defect-free co-recovery of quantum matter and geometry from one coupled effective fluctuation operator. Quantum gravity is not metric quantization, but defect-free co-recovery of quantum matter and geometry.
