How to be a parent in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: I believe this is the most challenged generation of parents in history. For the first time, we are raising children who will be agentic natives: children who grow up conversing with AI agents before they can write their own name. This whitepaper articulates my thesis on how to be a parent in the Agentic Era, what operational limits to establish, how to do co-parenting with AI without delegating what must not be delegated, and how to protect adolescent mental health in an ecosystem designed to capture their attention. From the Qualitas Doctrine I argue: the agent can assist, but human presence cannot be replaced. This document delivers practical frameworks and difficult conversations you will have —or should have— with your children before it is too late.
