"IEEE AgeTech Global Dataset Competition"
Year: 2026
Type: dataset
Abstract: "The IEEE AgeTech Global Dataset Competition 2026: Advancing Healthy Longevity aims to promote the development, discovery, and sharing of high-quality datasets that can accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) innovation for ageing populations worldwide. As demographic shifts continue to increase the proportion of older adults globally, there is a growing need for accessible, diverse, and well-documented datasets that support the design of human-centered AgeTech solutions. The competition welcomes datasets across a broad range of domains, including health and well-being, independent living, smart environments, mobility, assistive technologies, wearable and robotic systems, care delivery, cognitive health, and digital inclusion.Participants are encouraged to contribute ethically sourced and responsibly governed datasets that facilitate reproducible research, benchmarking, and scalable AI model development. Beyond dataset collection, the competition emphasizes documentation quality, accessibility, interoperability, transparency, privacy protection, and fairness. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, students, healthcare professionals, engineers, industry innovators, and policymakers, the initiative seeks to establish best practices for AgeTech dataset development and promote open innovation in healthy longevity research. Through global participation and knowledge sharing, the competition aims to build a sustainable data foundation that supports the next generation of AI-enabled technologies designed to improve quality of life, independence, and well-being for older adults."
