Abstract: This study examines the impact of the TransMiCable cable car system on the quality of life of residents in the area directly served by the Mirador del Paraíso station, located in the Ciudad Bolívar district of Bogotá. The research focuses on the dynamics of mobility, access, and citizens' perceptions of a system that represents an innovation for areas historically excluded from urban growth. Using a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews and document analysis, the study identifies the most significant effects of the system in terms of travel time, access to services, safety, and overall well-being. The study is grounded in a conceptual framework based on multidimensional quality-of-life indicators, paying particular attention to the connection between transportation infrastructure and inequality in cities. The findings facilitate an understanding of how TransMiCable has partially modified the living conditions of a population residing in highly vulnerable social and geographic environments, fostering more effective territorial integration within Bogotá's urban system.
