SNX: Distributed Cognition, Diagnostic Absence, and the Pathologization of Independent Framework Development

Year: 2026
Type: report
Abstract: This document extends Structural Neuroscience (SNX) by naming and formalizing the conditions under which cognition, relation, and authorship fail to complete due to environmental, institutional, technological, or cultural non‑reciprocity. It introduces the concepts of diagnostic absence, ghost shell systems, dead‑end recursion, and blocked‑affordance trauma, articulating how autistic perception, trauma patterning, and platform‑register hollowness interact to produce chronic non‑completion across relational, institutional, and cognitive fields. The document critiques the reductionist tendency to locate structural failures inside the individual, especially in cases of independent framework development, where original systems are often misread as pathological simply because they emerge outside institutional channels. It argues for an ecological, field‑aware approach to diagnosis and cognition, emphasizing that perception of obstruction may reflect structural veracity rather than distortion. The work situates these phenomena within Structural Neuroscience, Cognitive Ecology, and Structural Metaphysics, offering a coherent account of how distributed cognition interacts with obstructed fields. It concludes with a call for clinical caution, ecological analysis, and rigorous auditing of independent frameworks rather than reflexive dismissal.
