Abstract: A no-go result for identifying class-A rotor memory with Nieh--Yan flux. In homogeneous class-A axial torsion, the Nieh--Yan density sees only the temporal axial scalar channel ϕ\phiϕ, ϕ˙\dot\phiϕ˙, and H1+H2+H3H_1+H_2+H_3H1+H2+H3, and is blind to spatial axial torsion, class-A structure data, and admissible rotor memory.
