Methods in Ecology and Evolution, 14, 1104–1117. https://doi.org/10.1111/2041-210X.14043. In Equation 2, the barometric equation used to compute altitude was incorrectly written. The exponent is given as R⁢LbgM−1$$ \frac{\mathrm{R}{\mathrm{L}}_{\mathrm{b}}}{\mathrm{gM}}-1 $$, which incorrectly includes the “−1$$ -1 $$” within the exponent. The implementation used in the analysis is correct; the error is limited to the printed equation. We apologize for this error.
