TQNT-V5.22 — Attempt to derive Δc_min ≥ 30: honest report on the residual gap
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: TQNT-V5.22 attempts to derive the stricter selection rule Δc_min ≥ 30 (required by Fermi-LAT line searches against V5.20 Class E predictions) by combining 5 candidate mechanisms beyond Bar-Natan Vassiliev (V5.21). Mechanisms evaluated: M1 Vassiliev primitive: +2 axiomatic M2 Reshetikhin-Turaev color decomposition: not axiomatic (overcounting) M3 Topological quadrupole Q^(2): 0 (vanishes for amphichirals) M4 Framing anomaly differential: 0 (|Δh| < 1/2 absorbed) M5 1-loop conformal weight correction: not axiomatic, order-of-magnitude Honest verdict: Δc_min^V5.22 = 24 = 22 + 2 primitive. Insufficient to reach the Δc ≥ 30 required by Fermi line searches. The residual 6-unit gap remains theoretically unresolved. F3 stays OPEN. See V5p_erratum_F3 for the three remaining exit paths (V5.23+ mechanism, cascade smear, Class E reformulation). This is an example of the V5 framework's epistemological honesty: when axiomatic mechanisms fail to bridge an observational gap, the deficit is reported, not hidden under ad hoc parameters.
