Type stratum and age “calcaire carbonifère des Pauquys (étage II)”; Waulsort Formation, upper Tournaisian, Mississippian, Carboniferous. Type locality “ Pauquys ”; Hastière, Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. Type material The illustrated syntype is stored at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels, coll. no. RBINS a4664 (coll. de Ryckholt). Remarks Questionable synonym of Parallelodon haimeanus (De Koninck, 1851) according to Amler (1987).
