Amendment CCCLXIV — ICA-1 Full-Body TEG Lining: Thermally Self-Sustaining Armor Architecture
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Full-body thermoelectric generator (TEG) lining architecture for the ICA-1 Iron Armor system. 5,704 cm² (0.570 m²) of bismuth telluride thin-film TEG panels line the complete interior armor surface, converting body heat to electrical power continuously with no moving parts and no fuel. Key finding: at ambient temperatures below 28°C (82°F), full-body TEG output exceeds the ICA-1 full active combat load of 5W — achieving complete operational self-sufficiency from body heat alone. Output ranges from 2.81W (sleeping, warm room) to 14.03W (Arctic combat, ΔT=25°C). Counterintuitive design principle: the system is most powerful in the coldest environments — exactly when maximum powered assistance is needed. Includes system architecture, distributed bus hierarchy, supercapacitor sizing, thermal management, and battery vs. TEG break-even analysis (5 days continuous operation). Companion to CCCLXII (SOL Fusion Core) and CCCLXIII (crystal cascade optimization).
