Abstract: This article considers the embodied and subjective experience of undertaking research on feminicide. It uses first-hand accounts to explore the affective dimensions of a doctoral research project focused on searching for feminist visual potencia. Through a reflective feminist approach, it brings to the forefront the challenges that face doctoral research when working on violent topics.
