Year: 2026
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: We observed a sharp rise in invasive nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae disease at a tertiary medical center in Washington, DC. Nine adults presented over 9 months with severe illness, with both clonal and nonclonal strains identified by genome sequencing. These findings suggest emerging transmission patterns and the need for expanded surveillance.
