Abstract: Objective: To conduct a computer investigation of thermoelectric cooler (TEC) to be used on transport facilities. Methods: The method of modeling a thermoelectric refrigerator for transport facilities is described. The development of calculation algorithms and optimization of thermoelectric coolers on the basis of theory of optimal control are represented. The work proposes a new approach to modeling a thermoelectric chamber with aluminum inserts in a non-stationary cooling mode using the quasi-stationary method. Results: The quasi-stationary approach described in the article allows for simulation of the temperature in the chamber. The main modeling results indicate the possibility of ensuring the required temperature regime for cooling the chamber objects with typically powered by direct current sources (12V-18V) with chamber volumes ranging from 40 to 100L. Conclusion: The above modeling and optimization methods provide a theoretical basis for the design and application of thermoelectric refrigerators in transport facilities.
