Abstract: This collection provides a comprehensive, step-by-step methodological framework for the surgical preparation and long-term maintenance of chronic recording and injection chambers in behaving non-human primates (NHPs). Establishing and maintaining a stable cranial interface is critical for executing reproducible experiments over extended periods. This collection integrates three interconnected, high-resolution protocols: Chamber and Head-Post Implantation: Detailed surgical procedures for the secure, chronic attachment of the recording/injection chamber and head-stabilization hardware to the skull. Craniotomy: Precise guidelines for performing the craniotomy. Chamber Maintenance (Cleaning and Dura Scraping): Daily and long-term post-operative care routines. These protocols are designed to maximize animal welfare, extend the lifespan of the chronic implant, and ensure high experimental reproducibility across subjects.
