Light as the Architect of Reality: Information Theory of Coherence in Discrete Geometric Physics
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This work develops an information‑theoretic and ontological interpretation of light within the framework of Discrete Geometric Physics (DGP), building directly upon the corrected base theory presented in Volumes 1 & 2. We show that light is not merely an electromagnetic field, but the primary act of structuring of the 26‑vertex cubic lattice – a coherent excitation of spiral contours that carries information, synchronises hierarchy levels, and enables the formation of stars, planets, life, and consciousness. All results are derived from the same geometric invariants (Σw=14Σw=14, θ=arcsin(1/3)θ=arcsin(1/3), ϕ=(1+5)/2ϕ=(1+5)/2, FtopFtop, ηcritηcrit, γ=1/56γ=1/56) that define the base theory, and are now fully aligned with the corrected numerical values: · The present cosmological epoch is fixed at N=204N=204 (not 116); · The coherence length is λcoh=9.3968 mλcoh=9.3968m (derived from a(113)=0.1678 ma(113)=0.1678m); · The fundamental optical scale is λ0=766.490234 nmλ0=766.490234nm with the geometric coefficient k=1.092k=1.092 obtained from variational minimisation; · Three potassium modes (766 nm, 799 nm, 813 nm) emerge as a natural splitting of this fundamental resonance; · Photon information capacity reaches up to 31 bits, with topological protection provided by Σw=14Σw=14; · Dark energy is described by the equation of state wDE=−1.03wDE=−1.03 – a prediction of bounce dynamics at N=205N=205; · Consciousness is interpreted as global coherence at level N=105N=105, and thought as a soliton that modulates light. The work includes the RESTORE protocol – a direct consequence of bounce‑cycle dynamics – as well as experimental predictions for discrete interference, superluminal phase velocity, and gravitational echoes. This version incorporates all corrections from the unified DGP base, making it a consistent and testable supplement to the core theory.
