Abstract: These lectures offer a concise yet self-contained introduction to the Standard Model. We begin with relativistic quantum field theories for scalars, vectors, and fermions, showing how to compute amplitudes and cross sections. The principle of gauge invariance then guides us through the construction of the Standard Model as a spontaneously broken non-abelian gauge theory, highlighting key phenomenological implications along the way.
