Lead-Polymer-Organic-Surkhi-Alsi Composite as a Multi-Layer Barrier System for Long-Term Nuclear Waste Containment Beyond 10,000 Years

Abstract: Nuclear waste management remains one of the most critical unsolved engineering challenges of modern civilization. This paper proposes a novel six-layer composite barrier system combining lead shielding, HDPE polymer, bovine organic substrate, Surkhi-lime mortar and linseed oil (alsi) for nuclear waste containment beyond 10,000 years.
