The Transparent Witness Protocol V1
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This record presents The Transparent Witness Protocol v1, a methodological framework for moving from symbolic intuition to measurable structure without allowing symbolic perception to substitute for evidence. The protocol is designed for interdisciplinary research settings where an initial insight may appear first as metaphor, anomaly, symbolic compression, or cross-domain resonance. It provides a structured process for translating that early perception into definitions, measurements, controls, falsifiable claims, and executable communication. The core sequence is: symbol → structure → measurement → test → execution or operationally: suspend → observe → perturb → stabilize → communicate The protocol distinguishes between two phases of research cognition: Integration phase — identity-preserving filters are temporarily reduced so a signal can organize without premature narrative defense, ownership impulse, or preferred-outcome distortion. Execution phase — identity, authorship, boundary-setting, provenance, communication, and critique are re-engaged so the result can survive in the world. This document does not replace the scientific method. It is a discovery architecture that precedes and supports formal hypothesis testing. Candidate structures identified through the protocol must still be subjected to measurement, controls, replication, falsification, and theoretical critique. A worked example is provided in relation to the author’s earlier Zenodo preprint: Guarino, P. S. (2026). Prime-Side Phase Residuals of the 700/N Harmonic Cascade: A Controlled Computational Observation. Zenodo. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20974882 This methodology note is released for citation, critique, adaptation, and further development. The author welcomes rigorous engagement, including objections, refinements, and domain-specific applications.
