Avon Archaeology Limited were commissioned by Focus Consultants to undertake an archaeological desk-based assessment relating to the Old Post Office, New Bond Street, Bath, centred on ST 75052 64972. A planning application is intended to be made regarding alterations to the building for The Fashion Museum, including the installation of a new lift shaft. A search of the B&NES HER for a radius of 100m around the site was undertaken specifically for the purposes of this study, and has been included as both a map and a textual Appendix. The more relevant items are discussed in the text.
