N-linked glycosylation regulates SNAT2 trafficking and stability in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells

Type: article
Abstract: This study provides evidence that the localization of human SNAT2 to the plasma membrane requires N-linked glycosylation in PDAC cell lines. To our knowledge, our report is the first to show that localization of SNAT2 to the cell surface is important for supporting PDAC cell proliferation. This work establishes tools to investigate the significance of lysosomal SNAT2 and supports the concept that targeting nutrient transporter glycosylation may represent a viable strategy to limit PDAC growth.
