In Vitro Phantom Solution for $^{129}$Xe HyperCEST: Preclinical Sequence Optimization Under Enhanced Relaxation

Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Xenon-129 HyperCEST measurements improve the sensitivity and specificity of molecular diagnostics with NMR/MRI. However, the translation from in vitro to in vivo applications requires further research. Challenges include reduced relaxation times and lower concentrations of hyperpolarized gas (hp) in the target tissue, leading to reduced signal intensity. To address this, an in vitro phantom solution that mimics the relaxation times of blood was developed to pre-evaluate the acquisition parameters and saturation optimization.
