autoMETAte
Year: 2026
Type: software
Abstract: autoMETAte is a small pre-commit hook (a script that runs before you make a commit to your Git version control) written in Python to allow programmers to automatically generate a metadata file for their software. Helping people avoid the extra admin of creating a metadata file means a greater incidence rate of metadata production and sharing.
