The genome sequence of the Treble Brown Spot moth, Idaea trigeminata (Haworth, 1809) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: We present a genome assembly from an individual male Idaea trigeminata (Treble Brown Spot; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The genome sequence has a total length of 505.85 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.88%) is scaffolded into 27 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.49 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 12 441 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
