MATISSE-py: a high-level python interface for efficient, automated VLTI/MATISSE data reduction

Abstract: We present MATISSE-py, a Python package automating the complex reduction of VLTI/MATISSE interferometric data. It provides a modular abstraction layer over the official ESO pipeline, enabling scripted workflows, batch processing, and integration with modern data-analysis environments. We also introduce enhanced calibration algorithms - including refined BCD correction, robust transfer function handling, and v-factor computation - derived from seven years of operations, significantly improving data quality. Featuring robust quality control, interactive Plotly visualizations, and full compatibility with official binaries, MATISSE-py streamlines reduction for both experts and new users, paving the way for a modernized, reproducible reduction ecosystem.
