Abstract: The objectives of the study are to design and validate an instrument to assess perceptions and uses of Artificial Intelligence among teachers at a private university in Lima (Peru), as well as to analyse the results obtained. The research was carried out in two stages: an instrumental stage, aimed at evaluating the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, and a descriptive stage, aimed at analysing the results. A non-probabilistic convenience sample was used, with the participation of 385 university teachers from six academic areas. The results show that the instrument used achieves adequate levels of validity and reliability for measuring the proposed construct. AI is perceived positively by teachers; however, its integration into teaching practice is moderate. They highlight the need for a critical attitude towards AI-generated content, due to possible biases and inaccuracies, emphasizing reflective and responsible use in the educational field.
