Linear Algebra for Quantum Computing
Year: 2026
Type: book
Abstract: Demonstration Edition serves as the principal artifact of a standards-based engineering experiment in AI-assisted technical development. Its primary purpose is to demonstrate that a governed engineering process—combining human direction, AI assistance, verification, and production controls—can produce a substantial technical work while maintaining human responsibility for the final published content. It also serves as an educational introduction to the mathematical foundations of quantum computing. Linear Algebra for Quantum Computing introduces the mathematical foundations needed to begin studying quantum computing. It develops the essential concepts of complex numbers, vector spaces, inner products, linear operators, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, tensor products, entanglement, and introductory quantum algorithms through a structured, intuition-first approach. The book is intended for self-learners, undergraduate students, and readers seeking an accessible mathematical introduction to the subject. Community feedback is welcome. Reported issues will be cataloged and investigated through formal root cause analysis. The primary objective is not continuous revision of this Demonstration Edition, but the continuous improvement of the engineering methodology and its governing standards for this book and future technical works.
