Abstract: Purpose:This study aimed to investigate the effect of exergaming on children's balance ability, using changes in total trajectory length as an indicator. Methods:Preschool children in Kochi City were divided into an intervention group and a control group.Total trajectory length was measured using a stabilometer under both eyes-open and eyes-closed conditions. Results:In the eyes-closed condition, the intervention group showed a significant increase in total trajectory length. On the other hand, no significant changes were observed in the eyes-open condition. Conclusions:The significant increase in total trajectory length observed in this study is similar to phenomena reported in previous research following physical activity. These findings suggest that continuous implementation of exergaming may contribute to improvements in balance ability.Future studies are needed to examine its long-term effects.
