The Load-Bearing Organism: Fundamental Positive Claims of Human Restoration Theory v0.1
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This paper states the positive foundational claims of Human Restoration Theory (HRT). HRT proposes that terrestrial human function is fundamentally a problem of reliable load-bearing organization: the organism must continually organize support, transmission, distribution, and redirection of gravitational and task-related force. The paper advances seven theoretical claims concerning load-bearing, functional reliability, the partial substitution between structural load conduction and active stabilization, compensation, chronicity, cost, and restoration. Each claim is accompanied by explicit conditions under which it must be narrowed, revised, or rejected. The paper does not define ideal posture, prescribe a movement method, diagnose individuals, offer a therapeutic promise, or claim that mechanics explains all pathology or human experience. Its claims are theoretical and require discriminating empirical support. This work is subordinate to Human Restoration Theory: Core Architecture v1.0 (July 2026), DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21392417.
