A Critical Analysis of Selected Works by Christian Corda
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This work presents a structural assessment of three representative papers byChristian Corda in the field of gravitational wave physics. The analysis is notfocused on the correctness of specific calculations, but on the underlying logical andmathematical structure from which the results are claimed to arise. It is shown that the examined works do not originate from a closed variationalformulation and therefore lack a generating principle capable of uniquely determiningtheir physical content. Central elements such as scalar modes, phenomenologicalparameters and detector response functions are introduced as assumptions ratherthan derived as unavoidable consequences of a well-defined mathematical structure. The absence of a generating functional, of a second-variation operator and ofan associated spectral structure implies that the space of admissible configurationsremains unconstrained. As a consequence, multiple inequivalent constructions areequally possible, preventing any claim of uniqueness or necessity. Furthermore, the reliance on coordinate-dependent quantities and gauge-specific representationsobscures the identification of invariant observables, weakening the physical interpretationof the results.Within this perspective, the analyzed works must be regarded as phenomenologicalconstructions assembled within an open theoretical space, rather than asderivations from a closed and self-consistent framework. Their conclusions dependon arbitrary inputs and cannot be considered structurally necessary. This analysishighlights the requirement that a fundamental theory must be defined by a closedmathematical structure from which all physical content emerges without externalassumptions.
