Accurate Hurricane Path Prediction: Meteorological Application Of Quantum Superfluid Vacuum Theory
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: We extend the scale-invariant Quantum Superfluid Vacuum Theory (QSVT) to the terrestrial planetary scale, demonstrating that atmospheric cyclonic formation, hemispheric spin orientation, and rapid intensification are emergent macroscopic phenomena driven by an active background fluid medium. By modeling Earth’s rotation as a localized frame-dragged vortex executing a Quantum Superfluid Vacuum Flow (QSVF), we derive a latitude-dependent velocity vector field that transitions from completely vertical orientations at the poles to a horizontal, high-velocity azimuthal vortex belt at the equator. We establish that the standard Coriolis deflection is a real, lateral Saffman lift force generated as incoming atmospheric masses cut across these curving background spatial lines, naturally dictating counter-clockwise rotation in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise rotation in the Southern Hemisphere. Furthermore, we formalize the non-linear positive feedback loop of hurricane intensification by paramaterizing the latent heat of water vapor condensation as a highly localized vacuum phase-sink that accelerates inward radial velocity flux.
