Phenomenological Bridges: Route-Cost Correspondences with Quantum, Gravitational, and Cosmological Observables

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This record originally presented Finite Possibility Mechanics as a parameter-free derivation of physical constants from finite-information axioms. Subsequent review found that its constant-derivation conclusions do not hold: the reported values depend on calibrated inputs and constitutive choices, key recoveries are circular or coincidental, and a pre-registered test of the proposed core mechanism failed. The finite-lattice transport, locality, allocation, and bookkeeping results remain valid as mathematics of a declared discrete-mechanics sandbox, not as physical predictions or derivations of constants. This record is retained unchanged for transparency. Finite Possibility Mechanics supplies one microscopic accounting structure: a bounded directed route ledger, a constitutive viscosity field, a finite action budget, and local signed conservation. This paper develops the physical bridge layer that maps those internal quantities to established observables. The bridges cover pure dephasing, Landauer erasure, gravitational response, time dilation, cosmic acoustic structure, finite Born weights, Bell/CHSH correlations, and a bare electromagnetic coupling. The paper distinguishes identities, correspondences, calibrations, and predictions. Its strongest present results are exact correspondence identities and fixed-form numerical audits; its decisive next tests concern tensor galaxy morphology, complete cosmological likelihoods, resource-dependent Bell correlations, and the observable meaning of the finite lag ceiling.
