Abstract: The ternary system SnS − Bi S − PbS 2 3 was studied by means of physical-chemical analysis methods: differential-thermal (NTR-73), X-ray phase (DRON-3, CuKα rays, Ni filter), microstructure (MIM7), microhardness measurement (PMT-3) and density determination. It was determined that the three quaternary sulfides PbSnBi6 S11 , 4 8 PbSnBi S və 2 2 6 Pb SnBi S and their compounds have congruent melting properties. The compound 4 8 PbSnBi S melts congruently at a temperature of 825K. The compound 4 8 PbSnBi S belongs to the orthorhombic syngony (in hexagonal aspect), the lattice parameters are a=19.67; c=7.9. The results of X-ray structural analysis showed that the quaternary compound 2 2 6 Pb SnBi S crystallizes in the rhombic syngony, lattice parameters: a=15.61; b=7.78; c=4.25, symmetry group Pbmm. The quaternary compound 2 2 6 Pb SnBi S melts congruently at a temperature of 1000K. The diffractograms of the 6 11 PbSnBi S phase crystallize in the rhombic syngony and the lattice parameters were predicted as a=11.17; b=4.11; c=11.53. The quaternary compound 6 11 PbSnBi S melts congruently at a temperature of 880K and one of its main features is that it is a phase with variable composition. The nature of the chemical interaction in the quasi-ternary system SnS − Bi S − PbS 2 3 was determined by physicochemical analysis methods. It was determined that ten of them are quasi-binary sections There are thirteen areas for the initial crystallization of individual phases in the compound PbS Bi S SnS −− 23 . The widest areas of the quasi-ternary system PbS Bi S SnS −− 23 within the system belong to the α– and β– SnS and Pb SnBi S 2 2 6 compound phases.
