Repeated Weight-Loss Dieting Reshapes Gut Microbiota and Regulates Gut–Hypothalamic Neuroendocrine Signaling
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Objectives: Weight cycling alters the gut microbiota, which may contribute to metabolic adaptation. However, its impact on hypothalamic pathways regulating hunger and satiety remains unclear. This study aimed to characterize weight-cycling-induced changes in the gut microbiota and evaluate their associations with hypothalamic neuroendocrine signaling.
