Preliminary Findings on Dietary Fiber Intake and Cognitive Flexibility in Adult Women With Prediabetes
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Objectives: Prediabetes, characterized by insulin resistance and impaired glucose tolerance increases cognitive decline in women. Dietary fiber reduces postprandial glucose fluctuations and improves insulin sensitivity, which may support cognitive flexibility, a key component of executive function. This study examined associations between dietary fiber intake and cognitive flexibility in adult women with prediabetes.
