Title Impact Align SDG Project: A DataDriven Framework for Aligning Research Outputs with UN Sustainable Development Goals
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: DescriptionThe Impact Align SDG Dashboard (Figure 1) provides a comprehensive visualization of how diverse research outputs are systematically integrated with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It captures the scope of institutional engagement by displaying the number of projects aligned, scholars actively involved, and organizations participating in SDGlinked initiatives. Beyond quantitative measures, the dashboard highlights progress across major thematic clusters—education, innovation, climate action, and global partnerships—which represent core pillars of sustainable development. Each research document, whether a thesis, dissertation, project proposal, or institutional report, is mapped to specific SDG targets (e.g., 4.7, 9.5, 13.2, 17.16) and corresponding indicators (e.g., 4.7.1, 9.5.1, 13.2.1, 17.16.1). This structured mapping ensures transparent tracking of institutional contributions, enabling evidencebased bench-marking and accountability. By consolidating outputs into a single visualization, the Impact Align Dashboard strengthens institutional capacity to demonstrate measurable progress toward the 17 SDGs, advancing both national and global sustainability agendas.
