Abstract: This paper presents a research study entitled "The Influence of Strengthening Self-Esteem on Decision-Making Among University Students in San Juan de Lurigancho, 2026," which aimed to determine the influence of strengthening self-esteem on decision-making among university students in San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, Peru. A quantitative, applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational, and explanatory study was conducted with a sample of 151 university students. Data were collected using a Likert-type questionnaire validated through expert judgment, exploratory factor analysis, and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The findings revealed that strengthening self-esteem significantly influences decision-making, with self-worth being the dimension that showed the greatest impact. The study provides scientific evidence to support educational and psychological strategies that promote students’ emotional well-being, self-confidence, and autonomous decision-making.
