Ontological Gravity and Meta-Artifacts: A Framework for Traceable Reasoning in AI Agents
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: We introduce the concept of ontological gravity — the property by which structured knowledge exerts a measurable pull on related concepts. We describe KCP, a memory architecture with seven ontological registers carrying mass and gravitational influence. We propose a taxonomic framework (L0-L5) spanning two ontological planes (Profession and Life) within a bounded behavioral space, and an action formula that composes static layers into a causal loop with full traceability. A meta-cognitive chain allows agents to evaluate confidence before acting. Validated with 206 tests, 160+ empirical cases, and 793 cryptographically timestamped commits.
