Lattice Mechanics, Geometry of Matter

Abstract: This work proposes a concrete mechanics of matter and space, built by empirical reading of the observations (from the most elementary invariants to precision measurements) without starting from existing theoretical frameworks. It leads to a single discrete substrate: a cubic lattice of nodes connected to their six neighbors, whose only event is the displacement of a node from its equilibrium position. All energy is such a displacement, quantified by a single threshold ξ; every particle is a configuration transmitted from node to node, with no materiality of its own and no dissipation, at the substrate's cadence c. Electric charge is born in pairs by the detachment of a node: a local excess (negative charge) and a vacancy (positive charge), and this duality turns out to be the matter/antimatter symmetry itself: two historical names for a single structure. Mass is the geometric configuration formed around a charge, the very limited possibilities of the substrate imposing the strict discreteness and universality of the observed masses. The photon is the movement not separated into charges: the signature of every annihilation, total between symmetric particles, partial in bonds: chemical, atomic and nuclear bonding reduce to a single mechanism, charge alternation and mutual partial annihilation, whose breaking (ionization, fission) requires restoring the annihilated energy. This mechanics was not posited and then tested: it is what the data left standing. The approach confronts the observations (proton structure, atomic and molecular hydrogen, the neutron and light nuclei, precision experiments) with the full set of mechanisms that could produce them, without presuming the survivor; several candidates were built and then eliminated along the way, and the lattice is the one that withstood, with its concordances, its recorded discrepancies and its open workstreams. The text is a reading in progress, not a finished theory: its method, its safeguards against fitting, its validation criteria (including chemical periodicity, set as the judge of the nuclear model (6.4)) are presented on the same footing as its results.
