How Parents Answer Challenging Questions about Santa

Abstract: These are the planned set of analyses for a study on how parents answer questions about Santa Claus for their children. The analyses will 1) describe how parents responded to a set of 8 questions related to Santa Claus (e.g., how does Santa deliver everyone’s presents in one night; how come Santa’s handwriting on presents looks like yours?) and 2) explore connections between parent explanatory characteristics and a set of other factors, including child age, science attitudes, religiosity, and other variables.
