CO₂-opslag voor de Glastuinbouwmogelijkheden, kengetallen, berekeningen : Mogelijkheden, kengetallen, berekeningen

Year: 2026
Type: report
Abstract: Due to the energy transition and climate policy, the availability of CO₂ for greenhouse horticulture is decreasing. This report explores how temporary CO₂ storage can help bridge differences between CO₂ supply and demand, including in combination with direct air capture and day/night storage of CO₂ from CHP installations. Various storage methods are compared in terms of space requirements, storage density, costs and practical applicability, including unpressurised storage, high-pressure storage, liquid storage and amine batteries. The results show that liquid storage in particular is promising at larger scales, but that economic feasibility strongly depends on the crop profile, desired coverage level, scale of the system and the extent to which the storage capacity is actually utilised.
