Abstract: We develop a new perspective on the interactions of amyloids and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), in which molecular and cellular changes of aging have a key role. According to our view, a subset of basic mechanisms in aging is equivalent to chronic inflammatory processes, which predispose to the deposition of amyloids in the brain and other organs.
