A 3D-Printable device for non-invasive neuroimaging of adult zebrafish

Year: 2026
Type: other
Abstract: These files are provided as a companion to: "A 3D printable device for non-invasive longitudinal neuroimaging in the adult zebrafish." Haynes et. al., Journal of Cell Science 2026. This device is designed for use with an upright multiphoton microscope for neuroimaging of the adult and juvenile zebrafish. It allows for fast and reproducible mounting of fish with minimal restraint. This non-invasive approach allows for fish to be easily recovered from the imaging chamber for use in future experiments. Two versions of the chamber are contained in this record: the standard size chamber and the multi-size chamber which accomodates two sizes of restraint device (standard and large. A bill of materials with all finishes and associated materials needed is also included in this record, as well as assembly instructions and an SOP for use. Updated designs and detailed assembly instructions can be found at: https://morgridge.org/research/labs/fablab/designs/a-3d-printable-device-for-non-invasive-neuroimaging-of-adult-zebrafish/A simplified version of the design that does not use an adjustable tubing mechanism will also be posted to the above website - this version is faster and simpler to assemble.
