Abstract: This independent research paper examines the relationship between human capital quality and Africa’s structural transformation, using evidence from Nigeria. It explores the extent to which weaknesses in education quality and human capital development constrain the ability of young people and institutions to contribute to productive economic transformation. The study highlights the importance of strengthening education systems and human capital as foundations for inclusive economic growth and structural transformation in Africa.
