Abstract: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has estimated that 1 in 31 children is autistic. For many years, that number has been the definitive figure on autism prevalence. However, the CDC data provided estimates on the number of children with autism and stopped short of providing projections for the number of postsecondary students with the condition.
