This study aimed to identify the professional competencies required by visually impaired teachers for implementing inclusive education in Al-Ahsa city for the 2025/2026 academic year, from their perspective, and to define these requirements across five main dimensions: cognitive and diagnostic competencies, specialized planning and teaching competencies, assessment competencies and the preparation of individual plans, competencies in utilizing assistive technologies, and personal and collaborative competencies. The research also sought to identify statistical differences in the participants' assessments based on the variables of gender, educational qualification, and years of experience. To achieve these objectives, the study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool on a purposive sample of (56) male and female visually impaired teachers in Al-Ahsa city. The results showed that the overall average of the participants' responses was "strongly agree" across all professional competency dimensions. Further details regarding the dimensions are as follows: Understanding the distinctive behavioral characteristics of visual impairment was the most prominent aspect of the cognitive dimension (91%), while the use of tactile teaching strategies was the most common in the instructional dimension (90%), and the use of specialized assessment tools was the most common in the assessment dimension (90%). On the technical side, awareness of the importance of integrating technology into inclusive learning environments was the most prominent (90%), while the skill of assisting general education teachers and providing consultations in the personal and collaborative dimensions emerged as the highest proficiency level (94%). The results also showed no statistically significant differences in teachers' assessments of professional competencies attributable to the variables of gender, educational qualification, and years of experience. In light of these findings, the researcher recommends empowering teachers with inclusive education strategies and mastering Braille, encouraging Al-Ahsa schools to benefit from local and international experiences, organizing workshops focused on integrating technology and artificial intelligence into teaching, and strengthening official, financial, and technical support for developing this sector according to international standards and activating community initiatives.
